The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) is a federal statute that was signed into law in the United States by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. Under this new law, if Advanced Medical Reviews, as an Independent Review Organization (IRO), has been assigned by your health plan carrier to review your case concerning an adverse decision, you may submit additional information that AMR must consider when conducting the external review in writing or by fax, within five business days following the date of the mailed “review acceptance” notice that was sent to you.
AMR will not accept and/or consider additional information submitted after five business days.
To submit materials for consideration within 5 business days of your mailed “review acceptance” letter, include a copy of this letter and mail or fax the information to:
